Jorge is Chief of AI for Science Innovation within the Enterprise AI Unit at AstraZeneca, where he leads the application of advanced AI, foundation models, and agentic systems to transform drug discovery and clinical development. Previously, he served as Chief AI and Data Scientist for Oncology R&D and VP of Cancer Biomarker Development, driving clinically validated biomarker innovation. With deep expertise spanning molecular pathology, genomics, bioinformatics, and AI, he has held senior roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and advised leading biotech and investment organizations.
